Wiper Runs All The Time With Ignition On
- Install a known-good wiper on/off relay in power distribution center. Turn ignition on. If wipers run, go to next step. If wipers do not run, replace wiper on/off relay.
- Turn ignition off. Remove wiper on/off relay and wiper high/low relay from power distribution center. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at terminal "B" at both relay sockets in power distribution center. See Figure . If voltage does not exist at either terminal, go to next step. If voltage exists at either terminal, repair short to voltage in Dark Green wire between wiper on/off relay and wiper high/low relay.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at terminal No. 1 (Red/Yellow wire) at wiper motor harness connector. See Figure . If no voltage exists, go to next step. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Red/Yellow wire between junction block and wiper motor.
- Measure voltage at terminal No. 2 (Brown/White wire) at wiper motor harness connector. If no voltage exists, go to next step. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Brown/White wire between junction block and wiper motor.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) harness connector C3. Measure resistance between ground and terminal "C" at wiper on/off relay socket at power distribution center. If resistance is greater than 100 ohms, replace BCM. If resistance is 100 ohms or less, repair short to voltage in Red/Violet wire between wiper on/off relay and BCM.
