Chime Inoperative

Possible Causes:

Testing

  1. Ensure all doors are closed. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, actuate chime test. If chime does not sound, replace Body Control Module (BCM). See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If chime sounds, system is functioning properly at this time. Fault may be intermittent. Check related wiring and connectors for poor connections or damage to wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Check for other symptoms that may apply. See SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
