RKE Unable To Enter Program Mode

NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
Monitored & Set Condition
- When Monitored: While attempting to program RKE.
- Set Condition: Lack of response from the RKE module while attempting to put it in program mode.
Possible Causes:
- RKE Unable To Enter Program Mode
Testing
- Turn ignition off. Replace Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, clear Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool, attempt to program all RKE transmitters to be used with vehicle. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. Using scan tool, retrieve BCM DTCs. If RKE UNABLE TO ENTER PROGRAM MODE DTC resets, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If RKE UNABLE TO ENTER PROGRAM MODE DTC does not reset, test is complete.
