Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.

Possible Causes:

Testing

  1. Obtain known good Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, program RKE transmitter. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING. Press lock or unlock button on RKE transmitter. If RKE system responds correctly, replace and program new transmitter. If RKE system is inoperative or does not operate correctly, replace RKE module and program all transmitters to be used with vehicle.
