Tire Pressure Verification Test

  1. Using a scan tool or the EVIC RESET button, set the EVIC to Diagnostics mode (blank screen).
  2. Set to EVIC as follows, press and hold the EVIC RESET button for 5 seconds (EVIC will beep). Set the EVIC to display BLOCK COUNTERS.
  3. A vehicle graphic will display showing counters at wheel locations.
  4. Drive vehicle at 25 MPH (40 KM/H) for at least 2 minutes.
  5. Observe that the counters increment at least 3 sensor/transmitter receptions for each wheel. Can the EVIC be trained and do the counters show Sensor/Transmitter receptions? If yes, repair is complete. If no, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
