Self-Diagnostic System: Notes
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Dodge Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Concorde, 2003 Chrysler 300M, and 2002 Dodge Intrepid. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off before disconnecting any control module connectors. Failure to do so could result in damage to control module. When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
Self-diagnostic tests are written specifically for Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRBIII®) scan tool. If using a generic scan tool, ensure scan tool is OBD-II certified. A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary test functions.
