Sentry Key Immobilizer Module: Installation

NOTE:
If the SKIM is replaced with a new unit, a DRB III(R) scan tool and the BODY DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES
article MUST be used to initialize the new SKIM and to program at least two Sentry Key transponders.
- Slide the SKIM toward the steering column making sure the SKIM antenna ring is around the ignition cylinder housing (Figure ).
- Install the one screw securing the SKIM to the bottom of the steering column.
- Engage the steering column wire harness to the sentry key immobilizer Module (SKIM).
- Install the steering column upper and lower shrouds.
- Install knee blocker.
- Connect the negative battery cable remote terminal onto the remote battery post (Figure ).
