Breeze, Cirrus, Sebring Convertible & Stratus
- Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable. Remove gear selector knob. Remove center console. Reinstall gear selector knob. Ensure gear selector is in Park. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. If interlock cable is being replaced, remove lock pin. See Fig 1
. After interlock cable "self adjusts" to correct position, push down on locking clip.
- If an existing interlock cable requires adjustment, lock pin will not be present. Pull outward on locking clip. After interlock cable adjusts to correct position, push down on locking clip. Check operation of shift interlock system. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
