Avenger & Sebring Coupe

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector from TP sensor mounted on throttle body. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals No. 1 and 3 on TP sensor. See Fig 1. Replace TP sensor if resistance is not 3500-6500 ohms.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals No. 2 and 3 on TP sensor while slowly moving throttle from idle to full throttle. Replace TP sensor if resistance does not change smoothly while opening and closing the throttle.
