Low Fuel Indicator Not Operating Properly

  1. Start engine and observe fuel gauge operation. If fuel gauge operates properly, go to next step. If fuel gauge does not operate properly, repair fuel gauge as necessary. See FUEL GAUGE NOT OPERATING PROPERLY  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on and observe low fuel indicator. If low fuel indicator illuminates for 3-10 seconds, problem is intermittent. If low fuel indicator does not illuminate for 3-10 seconds, replace instrument cluster.
