Anti-Lock Brake System (Abs) Control Module
ABS uses a Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module. CAB module monitors wheel speeds to modulate hydraulic pressure in each brake channel, when ABS or traction control are activated to prevent wheel lockup under severe braking conditions to provide improved vehicle control. CAB module also provides vehicle speed signal to Powertrain Control Module (PCM). CAB module communicates with other modules via the Programmable Communication Interface (PCI) bus circuit. For additional information on ABS, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
