Powertrain Control Module Programming
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 25 other vehicles, including the 2000 Plymouth Voyager, 2000 Plymouth Neon, 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 2000 Plymouth Breeze, and 2000 Dodge Stratus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
If replacing Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the correct vehicle mileage and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be programmed into PCM to prevent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from being stored in Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module and Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) module.
- To program PCM and clear DTCs from ABS and SRS modules, connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below driver's side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on with engine off.
- Using scan tool, enter correct VIN and mileage into PCM. Using scan tool manufacturer's instructions, clear DTCs from ABS and SRS modules.
