Using Scan Tool

  1. Ensure transmitter batteries have about 3.2 volts each. Turn ignition on. Place transmission in Park. If vehicle is equipped with anti-theft system, ensure system is in disarm mode.
  2. Using scan tool, select MISCELLANEOUS, then PROGRAM RKE. If scan tool does not display BCM IS IN PROGRAMMING MODE, exit and reselect PROGRAM RKE again. Press any button on transmitter. Chime should sound once to indicate RKE module has accepted the signal.
  3. Repeat step 2)  for all transmitters that will be used by vehicle. Up to a total of 4 transmitters can be programmed. Programming mode will last for 30 seconds. To exit programming mode sooner, turn ignition off.
