Driver Heated Seat Switch Stuck In High Status

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform MEMORY SYSTEMS VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect driver heated seat switch connector. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY MEMORY SEAT MODULE, then clear DTCs. Turn ignition off, then on. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If DRIVER HEATED SEAT SWITCH OPEN/SHORTED TO GROUND DTC is retrieved, replace driver heated seat switch. If DRIVER HEATED SEAT SWITCH OPEN/SHORTED TO GROUND DTC is not retrieved, leave driver heated seat switch connector disconnected, and go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and MHSMM connector C1 terminal No. 18, driver seat heater switch MUX circuit (Tan/Dark Green wire). See Figure . If no voltage exists, replace MHSMM. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Tan/Dark Green wire.
