Driver Thermistor Out Of Range High

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform MEMORY SYSTEMS VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Raise driver seat to highest position to gain access to seat components and connectors. Turn ignition off. Disconnect driver heated seat cushion 4-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Turn driver heated seat switch on. Measure voltage between ground and driver heated seat cushion 4-pin connector terminal "D", driver seat temperature 5-volt supply circuit (Black/Dark Green wire). See Figure . If voltage is more than 5.5 volts, leave driver heated seat cushion 4-pin connector disconnected, and go to next step. If voltage is 5.5 volts or less, leave driver heated seat cushion 4-pin connector disconnected, and go to step  3 .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and driver heated seat cushion connector (component side) terminal "D", driver seat temperature 5-volt supply circuit. Figure . If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in driver seat temperature 5-volt supply circuit. If no voltage exists, replace MHSMM.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and driver heated seat cushion 4-pin connector terminal "C", driver seat temperature sensor input circuit (Tan/Light Blue wire). If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Tan/Light Blue wire. If no voltage exists, replace driver heated seat cushion.
