No Messages From PCM
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY CONTROL MODULES SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Attempt to start engine. If engine starts and idles, go to next step. If engine does not start and idle, repair no start condition as necessary. See appropriate BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on for approximately one minute. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If NO MESSAGES FROM PCM DTC resets, replace instrument cluster. If NO MESSAGES FROM PCM DTC does not reset, fault may be intermittent. Check related wiring and connectors for poor connections or damage to wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair any problems found as necessary. If no problems are found, check if any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply to vehicle. If no TSBs apply, test is complete.
