Driver Mirror Inoperative From Memory

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform MEMORY SYSTEMS VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
NOTE: Ensure seat frame is connected to ground if seat frame is unbolted from vehicle.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 4, driver mirror left driver circuit (Black/White wire) while operating power mirror switch to driver mirror left position. See Figure . If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is pressed, leave MHSMM connector C2 disconnected, and go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in Black/White wire.
  2. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 3, driver mirror common driver circuit (Yellow/Pink wire) while operating power mirror switch to driver mirror down position. If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is pressed, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in Yellow/Pink wire.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MHSMM connector C2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 5, driver mirror up driver circuit (Yellow wire) while operating power mirror switch to driver mirror up position. If voltage more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in Yellow wire.
  4. Turn ignition off. Ensure MHSMM connector is properly connected. Disconnect driver power mirror connector. Measure resistance of driver power mirror connector terminal No. 10, driver mirror sensor ground circuit (White/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, leave driver power mirror connector disconnected, and go to next step.
  5. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect MHSMM connector C1. Measure resistance of driver mirror sensor ground circuit (White/Red wire) between driver power mirror connector terminal No. 10 and MHSMM connector C1 terminal No. 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in White/Red wire.
