Passenger Mirror Inoperative From Memory
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform MEMORY SYSTEMS VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
NOTE:
Ensure seat frame is connected to ground if seat is unbolted from vehicle.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 12, passenger mirror left driver circuit (Dark Blue wire) while operating power mirror switch to passenger mirror left position. See Figure . If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is pressed, leave MHSMM connector C2 disconnected, and go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in Dark Blue wire.
- Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 11, passenger mirror common driver circuit (White wire) while operating power mirror switch to passenger mirror down position. If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is pressed, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in White wire.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect MHSMM connector C2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C2 terminal No. 13, passenger mirror up driver circuit (Yellow/Black wire) while operating power mirror switch to passenger mirror up position. If voltage more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open in Yellow/Black wire.
- Turn ignition off. Ensure MHSMM connector is properly connected. Disconnect passenger power mirror connector. Measure resistance of passenger power mirror connector terminal No. 10, passenger mirror sensor ground circuit (White/Black wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, leave passenger power mirror connector disconnected, and go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect MHSMM connector C1. Measure resistance of passenger mirror sensor ground circuit (White/Black wire) between passenger power mirror connector terminal No. 10 and MHSMM connector C1 terminal No. 14. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in White/Black wire.
