Low Washer Indicator On At All Times
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY CONTROL MODULES SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Check washer fluid level. Add washer fluid as necessary. If low washer indicator remains on, go to next step.
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect 2-pin washer fluid level switch connector. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read WASHER FLUID LEVEL SW voltage. If voltage is more than 5 volts, replace fluid level switch. If voltage is 5 volts or less, leave washer fluid level switch connector disconnected, and go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C2. Measure resistance between ground and instrument cluster connector C2 terminal No. 4, washer fluid level switch sense circuit (Black/Tan wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Tan wire. If resistance is 100 ohms or more, replace instrument cluster.
