Automatic (Rolling) Door Locks Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY CONTROL MODULES SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Close all doors. Using scan tool, read DOOR AJAR status. If scan tool displays CLOSED for any door, perform appropriate DOOR AJAR CKT STG test under DOOR AJAR SYSTEM  . If scan tool displays OPEN for any door, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, retrieve Powertrain Control Module (PCM) DTCs. If no PCM DTCs exist, go to next step. If any PCM DTCs exist, see appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  3. Using scan tool, read AUTO DOOR LOCK status. If scan tool displays ENABLED, replace BCM. If scan tool does not display ENABLED, enable auto door locks using scan tool.
