DTC P0300: Multiple Cylinder Misfire: Description
Cylinder misfire is monitored anytime engine is running and adaptive numerator has been successfully updated. DTC will set in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory when PCM senses more than 2 percent (1.5 percent on low-emission vehicles) misfire rate is measured during 2 trips or with a 10-30 percent misfire rate during one trip. Possible causes are: fuel system problem, secondary ignition or mechanical problem, erratic Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor or Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signals, engine mechanical problem or other possible causes for misfire.
