Battery Power To Module Disconnected

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY CONTROL MODULES SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off, then on. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If BATTERY POWER TO MODULE DISCONNECTED DTC resets, go to next step. If BATTERY POWER TO MODULE DISCONNECTED DTC does not reset, fault may be intermittent. Check related wiring and connectors for poor connections or damage to wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair any problems found as necessary. If no problems are found, check if any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply to vehicle. If no TSBs apply, test is complete.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove Body Control Module (BCM) from back of junction block. Turn ignition on. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe terminal No. 7 at BCM connector on back of junction block. See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, replace BCM. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Check operation of courtesy lights. If courtesy lights operate, replace junction block. If courtesy lights do not operate, go to next step.
  4. Remove and inspect fuse No. 19 (10-amp) in junction block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is open, repair power distribution circuit as necessary. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  5. Check voltage to fuse No. 19 (10-amp) in junction block. If battery voltage exists, replace junction block. If battery voltage does not exist, repair power distribution circuit as necessary. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
