Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Dodge Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Concorde, 2003 Chrysler 300M, and 2002 Dodge Intrepid. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Open driver's door. Pry off left instrument panel end cap. Remove 4 left side under-dash cover screws. Remove left side under-dash cover. Remove deck lid switch and wiring.
  2. Remove left knee bolster. Remove ducts under steering column. Disconnect connectors from junction block. Remove 4 junction block screws. Remove junction block. Disconnect BCM connectors. Remove Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) antenna connector (if equipped). Remove 4 RKE module-to-BCM screws. Remove RKE module. Remove 4 BCM-to-junction block screws. Separate BCM from junction block.
  3. To install, transfer RKE module to replacement BCM. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Program replacement BCM and enable VTSS. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under PROGRAMMING.
