High Beam Indicator Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Ensure high beam headlights operate. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 26-pin instrument cluster connector, located behind left upper instrument panel. Turn on headlights and select high beams. Using test light connected to ground, probe instrument cluster harness connector terminal No. 26 (Red/Orange wire). See Figure . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open Red/Orange wire.
  2. Remove and inspect high beam indicator bulb. If bulb is faulty, replace bulb. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - NEON article.
