DTC P0622: Generator Field Not Switching Properly: Description

Circuit is monitored with engine running. DTC will set when PCM tries to regulate generator field with no result during monitoring. Possible causes are: Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay output circuit open, generator field driver circuit open or shorted to ground, defective generator or defective PCM.
