Automatic Door Lock Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located on bottom of instrument panel, to left of brake pedal. See Figure. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select THEFT ALARM, VTSS, MISCELLANEOUS, then AUTO DOOR LOCKS. If scan tool displays AUTO DOOR LOCKS: ENABLED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display AUTO DOOR LOCKS: DISABLED, use scan tool to enable automatic door locks.
  2. Close all doors and liftgate. Using scan tool, select ELECTRO/MECH CLUSTER and INPUTS/OUTPUTS. If driver door, passenger door and liftgate inputs are not CLOSED, go to next step. If driver door, passenger door or liftgate inputs are CLOSED, perform COURTESY LIGHTS ON AT ALL TIMES  under INTERIOR LIGHTING.
  3. Using scan tool read ENGINE DTCs. If no ENGINE DTCs are displayed, go to next step. If any ENGINE DTCs are displayed, perform corresponding test in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - PT CRUISER article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  4. Replace Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
