Driver Door Fails To Lock

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector, located under pad in center of instrument panel. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE harness connector terminal No. 16, driver door lock driver circuit (Orange/Black wire) and ground. If resistance is more than 1000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground on Orange/Black wire.
  2. Replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
