No Cluster Illumination

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - PT CRUISER article. Remove and check instrument cluster bulbs. Replace bulbs as necessary. If bulbs are okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn parking lights on. If parking lights do not illuminate, check fuse No. 15 in fuse block and parking light circuits. See Figure. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article. Check voltage between instrument cluster harness connector C1 terminal No. 3, panel lights dimmer signal circuit (Black/Yellow wire) and ground. If voltage is 10 volts or more, replace instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - PT CRUISER article. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Black/Yellow wire between multifunction switch and instrument cluster.
