Park Lights Will Not Turn Off

Possible Causes:

• Headlight Switch
• Park Light Output Short To Voltage
• Body Control Module
• Park Light Relay

Testing

1. Turn headlights off. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, read HEADLIGHT SWITCH voltage. If voltage is about 4.5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not about 4.5 volts, replace headlight switch.
2. Remove parking light relay from junction block. See Figure and Figure . If parking lights turn off, leave parking light relay removed and go to next step. If parking lights do not turn off, repair short to voltage in parking light relay output circuit (Black/Yellow wire) between junction block and parking lights.
3. Install parking light relay. If parking light relay clicks, replace Body Control Module (BCM). See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If parking light relay does not click, replace parking light relay.
