Manual A/C Control Head Switch Inoperative
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
Possible Causes:
- Control Head - Open Switch
- Control Head Switches OK
Testing
- Turn ignition on. With the scan tool, read the mode switch MUX voltage. Press and hold the A/C button and observe the scan tool voltage. Voltage should be around .45 volt. Press and hold the rear defogger button and observe the scan tool voltage. Voltage should be around .25 volt. If the A/C switch failed, replace the control head. See MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS - CONCORDE & INTREPID article in HVAC. If both switches passed, there is no problem with the control head switches. Retry system and recheck for DTC's.
