Passenger Mirror Vertical Sensor Out Of Range High
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform MEMORY HEATED SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
Monitored & Set Condition
- When Monitored: Ignition on.
- Set Condition: This code is set when the mirror sensor feedback to the MHSMM is greater than the mirror out of range high value stored in EEPROM.
Possible Causes:
- Passenger Mirror Vertical Position Signal Wire Short To Voltage
- Passenger Memory Mirror
- Memory Heated Seat Mirror Module
Testing
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) connector C1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on MHSMM connector C1 terminal No. 6, passenger mirror vertical position signal circuit (Yellow/Red wire). See Figure . If voltage is more than 4.5 volts, leave MHSMM connector C1 disconnected and go to next step. If voltage is 4.5 volts or less, replace MHSMM. See MEMORY HEATED SEAT/MIRROR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect passenger mirror connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage on passenger mirror connector terminal No. 7, passenger mirror vertical position signal circuit (Yellow/Red wire). See Figure and Figure . If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Yellow/Red wire. If no voltage exists, replace passenger mirror. See appropriate POWER MIRRORS article.
