Wiper Not Wiping After Wash

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.

Possible Causes:

Testing

  1. Turn ignition on. Operate wipers in all speeds. If wipers operate properly, go to next step. If wipers do not operate properly, repair by symptom. Perform appropriate test under WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM. See SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn wipers off. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C2. Turn ignition on. Connect a 12-volt test light between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 7, washer pump control switch output circuit (Brown wire). See Figure . Monitor test light while pressing and releasing washer switch. If test light flashes, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If test light does not flash, repair open in Brown wire.
