Powertrain Verification Test VER-2
NOTE:
After repair is complete, perform TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
NOTE:
If PCM is replaced, correct vehicle mileage and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be programmed into PCM to prevent DTC from being set in Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module and Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) module. On models equipped with a Smart Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM), if replacing PCM, secret key data must also be updated to enable engine starting. To perform these procedures, see POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER-5 .
- Inspect vehicle to ensure components related to repair are connected properly. Using scan tool, clear DTCs and reset memory of all engine values. Start engine and run for one warm up cycle to verify proper operation. Road test vehicle. Use all accessories that may be related to this repair.
- Using scan tool, confirm no DTCs or symptoms are present, and all components are functioning properly. If this test is being performed after a no trouble code test, verify symptom is no longer present. If symptom is still present, or any other symptom or DTC is present, see appropriate test to diagnose malfunction. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply to DTC or symptom. If there are no DTCs or symptoms present, and all components are functioning properly, repair is complete. If any DTC or symptom is present, refer to appropriate test to diagnose malfunction.
