Powertrain Control Module: Notes

NOTE: If Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was replaced, the correct vehicle mileage and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be programmed into the PCM to prevent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from being set in Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module and/or Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC). If replacing PCM on models equipped with a Smart Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM), secret key data must also be updated to enable engine starting. To program PCM, see POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  under PROGRAMMING.
