Connect a jumper wire between RKE module connector terminals No. 4, door lock driver circuit and No. 12, ground circuit. See Figure . Manually lock driver's door. Connect second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 5, driver's door unlock driver circuit. Observe driver's door lock while momentarily touching other end of second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 3, fused B+ circuit. Door should unlock. Rever'se jumper wires at RKE module connector. Door should lock. If driver's door does not lock and unlock, go to next step. If driver's door locks and unlocks, replace RKE module. If test light illuminates when door lock switch is pressed, replace door lock motor.
  3. Disconnect RKE module connector. Using ohmmeter, check resistance of door lock driver circuit between RKE module connector terminal No. 4 and driver's door lock motor connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open wire.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of driver's door unlock driver circuit between RKE module connector terminal No. 5 and driver's door lock motor connector terminal No. 3. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, test is complete. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open wire.
