Horn Fails To Sound During Alarm

  1. Ensure horn is operating properly. Repair horn system as necessary. If horn is operating properly, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 26-pin Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector, located under center of instrument panel top cover. See Figure . Connect one end of a jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 18, horn relay control circuit. See Figure . Momentarily touch other end of jumper wire to ground. If horn sounds when jumper wire is grounded, replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If horn does not sound when jumper wire is grounded, repair open wire. After making any repairs, perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
