All Doors (Except Drivers) Fail To Lock & Unlock

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 26-pin RKE module connector, located under center of instrument panel top cover. See Figure . Lower passenger's window. Connect a jumper wire between RKE module connector terminals No. 4, door lock driver circuit and No. 8, ground circuit. See Figure . Manually lock passenger's doors. Connect a second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 6, door unlock driver circuit. Observe passenger's door locks while momentarily touching other end of second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 3, fused B+ circuit. Passenger's doors should unlock. Disconnect jumper wires and go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between RKE module connector terminals No. 6, door unlock driver circuit and No. 8, ground circuit. Manually unlock passenger doors. Connect second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 4, door lock driver circuit. Observe passenger's door locks while momentarily touching other end of second jumper wire to RKE module connector terminal No. 3, fused B+ circuit. Passenger's doors should lock. If passenger's doors do not lock and unlock, go to next step. If passenger's doors lock and unlock, replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Ensure ignition is off. Remove passenger's inner door trim to gain access to suspect door lock motor. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of door unlock driver circuit between RKE module connector terminal No. 6 and door lock motor connector terminal No. 3. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open wire.
  4. Using ohmmeter, check resistance of door lock driver circuit between RKE module connector terminal No. 4 and door lock motor connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door locks as necessary. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open wire.
