One Gauge Inoperative
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn the ignition off. With the DRBIII, read DTCs. If the DRBIII displays any PCM DTCs, diagnose and repair as necessary. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If the DRBIII does not display any PCM DTCs, go to the next step.
- Perform the instrument cluster self test. Turn the ignition off. Press and hold the trip reset button. Turn the ignition on. Observe the gauge in question while the instrument cluster performs the self test. The gauges should position at the calibration points indicated in table. See GAUGE CALIBRATION POINTS table. If the gauge in question operated properly, the test is complete. If the gauge in question did not operate properly, replace the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.GAUGE CALIBRATION POINTS

NOTE:
The PCM will not store any DTCs regarding oil pressure concerns.
CAUTION:
If oil pressure gauge readings are in question and the gauge tests good, a mechanical oil pressure gauge must be attached to the engine.
