Air Bag Verification Test
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off before disconnecting or connecting any control module connectors. Failure to do so could result in damage to control module.
- Remove any special tools or jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components (except the battery).
- Turn the ignition on, then reconnect the battery.
- Connect the DRBIII to the data link connector, use the most current software available.
- Use the DRBIII and erase the stored codes in all airbag system modules.
- Turn the ignition off, and wait 15 seconds before turning the ignition on.
- Wait one minute, and read active codes. If there are none present, read the stored codes.
- If equipped with airbag on-off switch, read the DTCs in all switch positions.
- Read the DTCs in all airbag system related modules.
- If the DRBIII shows any active or stored codes, return to the symptom index and follow path specified for that trouble code. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no active or stored codes are present, the repair is complete.
