Any PCI Bus Indicator Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
CAUTION: Ensure that the instrument cluster communicates on the PCI bus.
WARNING: Diagnose and repair any PCM, ACM, ABS, RYE, or SKIM DTCs before proceeding with this test.

Turn the ignition off. Remove the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article. Remove the inoperative LED from the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BULBS & LED under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article. Using a DVOM, select DIODE MODE, and connect the leads across the LED. Ensure that the Red lead is on the (+) of the LED. If the LED illuminated, replace the instrument cluster. If the LED did not illuminate, replace the indicator LED.
