FCM, HVAC Communication Fault

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Manual Temperature Control (MTC) or Automatic Temperature Control (ATC). If scan tool communicates with MTC or ATC, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with MTC or ATC, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM HVAC .
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and back on. Wait a minimum of one minute. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC does not reset, test is complete. If DTC resets, replace Front Control Module (FCM). See FRONT CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
