BCM Message Not Received

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform MEMORY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROL MODULE. If Body Control Module (BCM) responds, go to next step. If BCM does not respond, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM BCM  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs from Memory Seat/Mirror Module (MSMM). Turn ignition off. Start engine and let idle for approximately one minute. Ensure scan tool is still communicating with BCM. Recheck for DTCs in MSMM. If BCM MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED resets, go to next step. If BCM MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED does not reset, test is complete.
  3. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits and repair as necessary. Check for any related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If circuits and connectors are okay, replace MSMM. See MEMORY SEAT/MIRROR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
