Bus Messages Missing

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Body Control Module (BCM). If scan tool communicates with BCM, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with BCM, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM BCM  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROL MODULE then SYSTEM TEST. If scan tool displays PCM ACTIVE ON BUS, go to next step. If scan tool does not display PCM ACTIVE ON BUS, go to PCM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  3. Attempt to communicate with Front Control Module (FCM). If scan tool communicates with FCM, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with FCM, go to NO RESPONSE FROM FRONT CONTROL MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  4. Attempt to communicate with Transmission Control Module (TCM). If scan tool communicates with TCM, replace overhead console. If scan tool does not communicate with TCM, go to NO RESPONSE FROM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
