Compass Test Failure

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.

NOTE: This test may also be performed using the DRBIII®.

Perform the CMTC/EVIC self test. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article. Turn the ignition off. Depress and hold the RESET and STEP buttons while turning the ignition on. If the CMTC/EVIC or DRBIII® displays "FAILED SELF TEST", replace the CMTC or EVIC. See OVERHEAD CONSOLE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the CMTC/EVIC or DRBIII® does not display "FAILED SELF TEST", the test is complete.
