Loss Of EATX Messages

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select TRANSMISSION. If scan tool identifies or communicates with transmission, go to next step. If scan tool does not identify or communicate with transmission, go to NO RESPONSE FROM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and back on. Wait approximately one minute. Recheck for DTCs. If LOSS OF EATX MESSAGES resets, replace Power Liftgate Module (PLGM). See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If LOSS OF EATX MESSAGES does not reset, test is complete.
