Loss Of SBEC Messages

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select ENGINE. If scan tool identifies or communicates with Powertrain Control Module (PCM), go to next step. If scan tool does not identify or communicate with PCM, go to NO RESPONSE FROM PCM (PCI BUS)  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and back on. Wait approximately one minute. Recheck for DTCs. If LOSS OF SBEC MESSAGES resets, replace Power Liftgate Module (PLGM). See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If LOSS OF SBEC MESSAGES does not reset, test is complete.
