IOD Wake Up Open - PSD

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, record and erase DTCs. Turn ignition off. Wait approximately 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Wait approximately 10 more seconds. Recheck for DTCs. If IOD WAKE UP OPEN - PSD resets, go to next step. If IOD WAKE UP OPEN - PSD does not reset, system is operating properly at this time. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits.
  2. Locate and disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C3. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . See Figure. For left sliding door, using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 4 (Violet/Brown wire). For right sliding door, using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3 (Violet/Gray wire). On all doors, if voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Disconnect Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) connector C2. See POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. For left sliding door, using DVOM, measure resistance of Violet/Brown wire between BCM connector C3 terminal No. 4 and PSDM connector C2 terminal No. 19. See Figure or Figure. For right sliding door, using DVOM, measure resistance of Violet/Gray wire between BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3 and PSDM connector C2 terminal No. 19. On all doors, if resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Violet/Brown or Violet/Gray wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
  4. Disconnect Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) connector C2. See Figure. To access connector, left rear trim will need to be removed. See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between BCM connector C2 terminal No. 17 (Violet/Yellow wire). If resistance is 100 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is 100 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Violet/Yellow wire.
NOTE: If vehicle is equipped with dual power sliding doors, next step must be performed for each door.
  5. For left sliding door, using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 4 (Violet/Brown wire). For right sliding door, using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3 (Violet/Gray wire). On all doors, if resistance is 100 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Violet/Brown or Violet/Gray wire. If resistance is greater than 100 ohms, replace suspect PSDM.
