IOD Wake Up PSD & PLG Short
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, record and erase DTCs. Turn ignition off. Wait approximately one minute. Turn ignition on. Wait approximately 10 more seconds. Recheck for DTCs. If IOD WAKE UP PSD & PLG SHORT resets, go to next step. If IOD WAKE UP PSD & PLG SHORT does not reset, system is operating properly at this time. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits.
- Locate and disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connectors C2 and C3. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . See Figure and Figure . Using a test light connected to ground, probe BCM connector C3 terminal No. 4 (Violet/Brown wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, probe BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3 (Violet/Gray wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4. If test light illuminates, probe BCM connector C2 terminal No. 19 (Violet/Yellow wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 5. If test light illuminates, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Disconnect left Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) connector C2. See POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 4 (Violet/Brown wire). If no voltage is present, replace left PSDM. If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Violet/Brown wire.
- Disconnect right Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) connector C2. See POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3 (Violet/Gray wire). If no voltage is present, replace right PSDM. If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Violet/Gray wire.
- Disconnect Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) connector C2. See Figure. To access connector, left rear trim will need to be removed. See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 19 (Violet/Yellow wire). If no voltage is present, replace right PLGM. If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Violet/Gray Yellow wire.
