Incomplete Power Close - Full Open Switch Failure

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Using scan tool, record and erase DTCs. Turn ignition off. Wait approximately 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Operate power sliding door several times if possible. Recheck for DTCs. If INCOMPLETE POWER CLOSE - FULL OPEN SWITCH FAILURE resets, go to next step. If INCOMPLETE POWER CLOSE - FULL OPEN SWITCH FAILURE does not reset, system is okay at this time. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits. See POWER DOOR LOCKS in appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL.
  2. Visually inspect sliding door for proper alignment, damaged strikers, damaged latches or obstructions of full open switch. Using scan tool, select INPUTS/OUTPUTS and monitor FULL OPEN SWITCH state. Manually pull door handle. If FULL OPEN SWITCH state changes smoothly when handle is pulled, go to next step. If FULL OPEN SWITCH state does not change smoothly when handle is pulled, diagnose power sliding door. See TROUBLE SHOOTING in POWER SLIDING DOORS & LIFTGATE article.
  3. While monitoring FULL OPEN SWITCH state, open sliding door to middle position. Wiggle wiring harness for full open switch. See Figure. If FULL OPEN SWITCH state changes, repair short to ground in Orange wire between full open switch and Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) connector C2 terminal No. 14. See Figure or Figure. If FULL OPEN SWITCH state does not change, replace full open switch (part of lower drive unit).
