Abs Verification Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Reconnect any disconnected components. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under driver's side of instrument panel, left of steering column. Ensure accessories are turned off and battery is fully charged.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, record and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from all modules. Start engine and allow to run for approximately 2 minutes. Operate system that set DTC. Turn ignition off. Wait approximately 5 seconds. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs from all modules. If no DTCs exist, go to next step. If any DTCs exist, perform appropriate test.     NOTE: Ensure brake system is operating properly before test driving vehicle.
  3. Test drive vehicle for at least 5 minutes and perform several anti-lock braking stops. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs from all modules. If no DTCs exist, system is operating correctly and customer's complaint cannot be duplicated, repair is complete. If any DTCs exist, perform appropriate test.
